Who we are!

Marian Cardiac Centre and Research Foundation was established in 1990.

Marian Cardiac Centre and Research Foundation is well known for providing comprehensive cardiac and cardiac surgical care.

The Marian Cardiac Centre and Research Foundation provides the latest diagnostic facilities and conducts cardiac camps in rural India. A large number of patients attend the outpatient services. Invasive, interventional and cardiac surgical procedures are carried out in other centres, an arrangement that is cost-ineffective and lacks patient satisfaction. Many poor and marginalized patients are denied advanced cardiac treatment including surgery due to lack of adequate funds.

Therefore, it is felt that establishing a state of the art cardiac centre will provide dedicated cardiac surgical and interventional services under one roof and is cost effective. The highest level of patient care will be delivered to the utmost satisfaction of all patients who are in need.

Dr. M. Durairaj

Dr. M. Durairaj is a Cardiologist and Founder and Chairman of the Marian Cardiac Centre and Research Foundation in Pune, India. He has held numerous teaching positions and was till recently the Professor and Chairman of the Academic Department of Cardiology at Grant Medical Foundation in Pune. He is a Founding Member, Fellow and Former President of the Indian College of Cardiology.

As an exceptionally gifted clinician, researcher and teacher, Dr. Durairaj has earned an international reputation in the field of Cardiology. He has been both the Honorary Physician to three Presidents of India as well as a doctor who reaches out to the marginalized patients in the remote and rural areas of his country. …Read More

Dr. Manoj Durairaj

M.S.(Gold Medal), M.Ch.(AIIMS, New Delhi), F.A.C.C.Dr. Manoj Durairaj an ex-Vincentian has done MS General surgery from AFMC(Gold Medal) and M.Ch. in Cardiac Surgery at AIIMS, New Delhi.

Dr. Manoj is the first Cardiac Surgeon in Pune to be elected as Fellow of the American College of Cardiology (FACC). He is the Executive Member of the Indian Association of Cardiothoracic Surgeons And Society of Heart Failure and transplantation. He is also the Joint Secretary of Indian Society of Heart and Lung Transplantation.
